ok no more time for whining. now is time for SOLUTIONS. Playing under the assumption my costume is not going to be here before the con, I need a new costume- it has to be fast, it has to be simple, it has to be cheap. OH MY GOD! some of the most popular stuff at cons right now is simple and cheap! I buy a pretty wig, colour coordinate the dress- BAM, My Little Pony. I buy a Finn hat, thrift shop a blue skirt and top- BAM, Adventure Time. oh shucks though theres gonna be MILLIONS of other- WAIT A MINUTE. I take this rainbow wig. glue to this rabbit hat. buy blue shirt, tape on blue cardboard wings. Patch cutie mark to blue mini skirt- BAM. MY LITTLE ADVENTURE TIME. PERFECT. IM IN UR FANDOMS, CROSSIN OVER UR SHIT. I can whip this up in a DAY.
…but I still want my money back for the Harvest Goddess costume I was SUPPOSED to wear!
in other news, my Simon and Marcy snow animated illustration is mysteriously making the rounds again. I dont know how this happened but hell, maybe I’ll actually hit 2000 notes with it.

sorry all my posts are so moody lately. It was not my intention to be this stressed out on my only weekend off before I’m meant to start work on my movie again. Which I am not doing either. Because of stress.
I think I’m all out of optimism for this costume. I kept thinking, MAYBE she can still get it in the mail on time, MAYBE it can get here by Friday at the latest, but I just got an email from her and she paid UPS but they never came to pick it up. so its still there. Even if they DO come tomorrow, which now seems unlikely, what are the chances that it will show up, from POLAND, by FRIDAY? EVEN with the 2 day shipping she paid for it doesn’t sound like it’ll be here until after I get back from the con. She seems confident if they come tomorrow it can still be here by Thursday (I would even take Friday, we can leave Friday and not miss the whole con) but I’m so tired of being hopeful. I’m just going to go to the con dressed as “Sad Chick Who Should Have Known Better”.
I still don’t have confirmation that my costume is in the mail, the girl e-mailed me and said shes waiting for her landlady to call her and tell her if she got it done but what time is it now in Poland? Like… *Googles* 7:30?! how the hell wouldn’t she know by now that package should have been in the mail HOURS AGO oh my god I’m not getting a costume and the room situation is fucked up and why is everything in the world going wrong with just trying to get to this con

oh man I just found out about this Adobe Cloud bullshit (where have I been, right). It’s like they’re ACTIVELY DISCOURAGING people from every trying to be an artists because its too damn expensive. $50 a month? For the whole TWO products I regularly use? I can’t even afford cable TV! My apartment has no kitchen! I can’t put down another fifty bucks a month for Photoshop!
I see this ending only in two ways, everyone switches to a different paint program (SAI) or we all just pirate the shit out of it because while that pricetag might work for big businesses for now, people just starting to learn the software, and theres more every day, are NOT going to be able to justify to themselves spending that kind of dough on a software they can barely use.
